The internationally recognised transliteration system accepted by the German Oriental Society (Deutsche Morgenländische Gesellschaft, or DMG). Proposed in 1935 in the famous "Denkschrift" to the International Congress of Orientalists.
DMG can be used to express Arabic script in Latin script. It is also known as: DMG, DIN 31635, ISO 233.
